Drilling activities

Simple drilling – say the word, ask SS to repeat after you. You can also use flashcards for it.

Faster / slower – drill the words in difference paces. Start with drilling them very slowly, then gradually build up the temp. Finish the drilling process with very fast drilling.

Louder / quieter – the same procedure as for the Faster / slower technique.

Roles drilling – prepare a set of role cards (old man, baby, girls, boys, teacher, robot, monster …) and put them into a box. SS get a random card form the box and drill the words using the role from the card.

Action drilling – drill the words doing some actions (hopping on one leg, jumping, clapping their hands …).

Group drilling – divide SS into groups. Groups take turns repeating the word after you.
